Bocce Ball Courts at Carmichael Park

Foundation Completed Projects

The Bocce Ball Courts in Carmichael Are Now Open!

The Carmichael Recreation and Park District and the Carmichael Parks Foundation are delighted to announce that the Bocce Ball Courts in Carmichael are now open.

The courts are a tribute to the late Shirley Pennington Simi, who lived in the Carmichael area for over 50 years. Shirley was dedicated to this community and was extremely proud of her Tuscan heritage so she wanted to share her passion for Bocce Ball with all of the residents in this region. It is because of her generous financial support that this project got started. Shirley’s famiglia and friends, as well as other Bocce fans in the community, generously contributed to the Shirley Simi Memorial Bocce Fund, established in her memory when she passed away in 2018

Located near Carmichael Park’s North Avenue entrance the courts are currently open to the public on a first come first serve basis  and available for reservation through the Carmichael Recreation and Park District.
